Chamarel Waterfall

The tallest single-drop waterfall on the island, around 100 metres, seen from a viewing platform inside the Seven Coloured Earth geopark.

Why go

Two rivers go over a basalt lip and fall a hundred metres into a green bowl. The viewpoint is easy, the drop is real, and after rain it is the loudest thing in the district.

How to do it

Included in the geopark ticket; the viewpoint is the first stop after the gate. There is a longer path to the base of the falls from the village side that is unofficial and slippery; most people should stay at the platform.
